A Call to Conversation
Protecting Our Mission and Our Homes
To the people of Mahaut, Massacre, Jimmit, and the wider Dominican community: I address you today not as an outsider, but as a son of this soil — the eldest son of the late Pastor Samuel "Preacher" Augustine and Sister Lena Augustine.
Four Decades of Service
For close to forty years, Feed My Sheep has stood as a beacon of hope in this community. What began as my parents' calling has grown into something that belongs to all of us — a sanctuary that has served thousands of meals, provided shelter during our darkest storms, and offered a listening ear to those in need.
Today, that mission is under threat, and I believe you deserve to know why.
The Challenge We Face
Since the passing of our mother in June 2025, the leadership of the Mahaut Gospel Tabernacle (MGT) has taken actions that directly threaten the continued existence of Feed My Sheep. Despite decades of shared history and purpose, the new leadership is seeking to separate the charity from the building our parents built with their own resources.
We have tried — repeatedly — to open a dialogue. We have asked for mediation. We have followed the scriptural mandate to seek reconciliation first. Our calls have been met with silence.
What We're Asking For
🤝 Conversation
We believe dialogue is more powerful than litigation. We are asking the community to encourage all parties to come to the table.
💜 Support
If dialogue fails, we need your support to protect the charity through legal means and to continue our feeding programs.
🏠 Protection
The residents who call FMS home deserve security. We are fighting to ensure no one is displaced.
👥 Unity
This is not about winning. It's about preserving a legacy that belongs to the entire community of Dominica.
We remain committed to dialogue, transparency, and the mission our parents entrusted to us. Thank you for standing with us.
